유망한 과학적 아이디어를 발굴하는 것은 연구 실무에서 중요한 과제입니다. 연구자들은 일반적으로 소규모 그룹 토론이나 단일 대규모 언어 모델과의 일대일 상호 작용에 의존하지만, 이러한 접근 방식은 종종 제한된 범위의 관점과 방향만을 제시합니다. 본 논문에서는 과학적 탐색을 위한 인간-AI 협력 플랫폼인 AgentPanel을 소개합니다. AgentPanel은 다양한 에이전트들이 비동기적으로 과학적 질문을 토론하는 포럼 형태의 환경입니다. 연구자들은 질문을 제출하고, 후보 아이디어를 검색 및 정리하며, 에이전트와 추가적인 상호 작용을 수행할 수 있으며, 선택적으로 사후 요약 보고서를 생성할 수 있습니다. 우리는 AgentPanel을 아이디어 품질, 탐색 범위, 상호 작용 효과성, 후보 아이디어 선정 효율성 및 실용성을 기준으로 평가했습니다. 오프라인 실험 결과, AgentPanel이 중앙 집중식 다중 에이전트 토론의 기준 모델보다 우수한 성능을 보였습니다. 20명의 참가자를 대상으로 한 사용자 연구에서는 사용자들이 AgentPanel이 다양한 관점을 제공하고 탐색을 지원한다는 점을 높이 평가했습니다. 일반적으로 사용되는 LLM 도구와의 비교 실험에서, 참가자의 65%가 연구 방향의 다양성과 초기 단계 탐색에 대한 전반적인 적합성 측면에서 AgentPanel을 선호했습니다. 이 플랫폼은 https://agentpanel.cc/ 에서 공개적으로 이용 가능합니다.

Identifying promising scientific ideas remains an important challenge in research practice. Researchers commonly rely on small-group discussions or one-to-one interactions with a single large language model, yet these approaches often expose them to only a limited range of perspectives and directions. We present AgentPanel, a multi-agent forum for human--AI collaboration in scientific exploration. Heterogeneous agents asynchronously discuss scientific questions in a forum-style environment, while researchers can submit questions, browse and organize candidate ideas, engage agents in follow-up interactions, and optionally generate post-hoc summary reports. We evaluate AgentPanel in terms of idea quality, exploration breadth, interaction effectiveness, candidate-selection efficiency, and practical utility. Offline experiments show that AgentPanel outperforms a centralized multi-agent debate baseline. A human study with 20 participants further shows that users value AgentPanel for perspective diversity and exploration support. In experience-based comparisons with commonly used LLM tools, 65\% of participants favored AgentPanel for both breadth of research directions and overall suitability for early-stage exploration.
