SAM3D-Guided Object-Centric Representation Alignment for Vision-Language-Action Models

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models have shown strong potential for general robot manipulation, but most existing models rely on 2D visual-language backbones and lack fine-grained 3D understanding of target objects, especially under occlusion, pose variation, scale changes, and precise spatial interaction. We propose an object-centric 3D representation alignment framework built upon $π_0$, using SAM3D as a frozen 3D teacher to provide target-object 3D priors during training. Specifically, we localize task-relevant objects with object recognition models, generate corresponding object masks, and use SAM3D to extract dense object-level 3D representations, which are aligned with intermediate visual features of $π_0$. This enables the policy to internalize target-object 3D information while preserving the original RGB-language-to-action inference pipeline without requiring depth, point clouds, masks, SAM3D, or additional 3D modules at test time. Simulation experiments show consistent improvements, achieving 99.1\% on LIBERO and an average length of 4.11 on CALVIN. Real-world experiments further demonstrate that our method is particularly effective in long-horizon manipulation scenarios where the robot must focus on different target objects across multiple subtasks.

Mandol: An Agglomerative Agent Memory System for Long-Term Conversations

Long-term conversational agents need to remember and query cross-session, multi-typed information with complex correlations. Existing agent memory systems rely on heterogeneous vector and graph databases, which fragment memory information and cause high cross-database I/O latency. For retrieval, common RAG-style methods tend to introduce noise, miss correlated clues, and lack token budget control, degrading LLM accuracy and efficiency. We propose Mandol, an agglomerative memory system that consolidates fragmented memory representations and storage into a unified memory-native architecture. Its core components include: (1) a hierarchical memory model that organizes memory into a basic layer representing raw memory information and a high-level abstract layer that agglomerates basic memories into traceable abstract memories, both uniformly represented as structured semantic graphs; (2) an agglomerative semantic data structure combining SemanticMap and SemanticGraph, which natively fuses key-value, vector, and graph structures and provides unified hybrid retrieval operators to eliminate cross-database I/O; and (3) a quantitative query mechanism with query-adaptive routing, quantitative denoising and conflict resolution, and token-constrained context generation, all without involving LLMs during retrieval. Experiments on two widely used long-term conversation benchmarks, LoCoMo and LongMemEval, show that Mandol achieves the best overall accuracy among representative agent memory systems. For performance comparison, Mandol also obtains a 5.4x retrieval speedup and a 4.8x insertion speedup under 10 QPS concurrent load, while still maintaining low latency on consumer-grade hardware.

Think While Watching: Online Streaming Segment-Level Memory for Multi-Turn Video Reasoning in Multimodal Large Language Models

Multimodal large language models (MLLMs) have shown strong performance on offline video understanding, but most are limited to offline inference or have weak online reasoning, making multi-turn interaction over continuously arriving video streams difficult. Existing streaming methods typically use an interleaved perception-generation paradigm, which prevents concurrent perception and generation and leads to early memory decay as streams grow, hurting long-range dependency modeling. We propose Think While Watching, a memory-anchored streaming video reasoning framework that preserves continuous segment-level memory during multi-turn interaction. We build a three-stage, multi-round chain-of-thought dataset and adopt a stage-matched training strategy, while enforcing strict causality through a segment-level streaming causal mask and streaming positional encoding. During inference, we introduce an efficient pipeline that overlaps watching and thinking and adaptively selects the best attention backend. Under both single-round and multi-round streaming input protocols, our method achieves strong results. Built on Qwen3-VL, it improves single-round accuracy by 2.6% on StreamingBench and by 3.79% on OVO-Bench. In the multi-round setting, it maintains performance while reducing output tokens by 56%.
