Search2Skill: Skill Distillation Beyond Knowledge Boundaries Via Rubric-Based Reinforcement Learning
Reusable skills, which encapsulate the procedural knowledge required to solve real-world professional tasks, offer LLM-based agents a path toward self-evolution in expert domains. Existing self-evolving skill methods construct skills internally from the model's parametric knowledge or trajectories, and are therefore bounded by what the model already knows. However, the domain conventions and standard procedures underlying professional skills often lie beyond this boundary and are hard to elicit from the agent alone. To address this issue, we therefore propose a novel framework, Search2Skill, that automatically identifies the agent's capability gaps, searches external sources to address them, and distills the retrieved evidence into structured, reusable skills. Specifically, Search2Skill is optimized by a rubric-based reinforcement learning scheme that jointly improves when to search, how to search, and how to generate skills. Experiments on eight expert-level domains from three benchmarks show that Search2Skill consistently outperforms both search-augmented and trajectory-based skill-learning baselines under both streaming and held-out evaluation protocols. Further analyses show that the gains arise from skill abstraction rather than raw retrieved evidence, and that the acquired skills transfer across model scales.
OvisOCR2 Technical Report
We introduce OvisOCR2, a 0.8B document parsing model. OvisOCR2 is designed as an end-to-end parser: given a document page image, it generates a Markdown representation in natural reading order, covering text, formulas, tables, and visual regions. We build a data engine that combines filtered real-document annotations with synthetic pages whose rendered images and Markdown targets are derived from the same HTML source. The training recipe includes supervised fine-tuning, reinforcement learning on a 4B branch with a multi-component reward design, on-policy distillation into the 0.8B model, and model fusion. On OmniDocBench v1.6, OvisOCR2 achieves a state-of-the-art overall score of 96.58, placing an end-to-end model at the top of this leaderboard previously dominated by pipeline methods and highlighting the potential of end-to-end document parsing. On PureDocBench, OvisOCR2 also achieves the highest Avg3 score of 75.06. Beyond these two public benchmarks, we evaluate OvisOCR2 on an in-house benchmark designed to cover a broader set of long-tail and challenging scenarios. OvisOCR2 obtains the best overall performance among the compared methods, providing further evidence of its generalization and robustness. OvisOCR2 is available at https://huggingface.co/ATH-MaaS/OvisOCR2.
Marco DeepResearch: Unlocking Efficient Deep Research Agents via Verification-Centric Design
Deep research agents autonomously conduct open-ended investigations, integrating complex information retrieval with multi-step reasoning across diverse sources to solve real-world problems. To sustain this capability on long-horizon tasks, reliable verification is critical during both training and inference. A major bottleneck in existing paradigms stems from the lack of explicit verification mechanisms in QA data synthesis, trajectory construction, and test-time scaling. Errors introduced at each stage propagate downstream and degrade the overall agent performance. To address this, we present Marco DeepResearch, a deep research agent optimized with a verification-centric framework design at three levels: \textbf{(1)~QA Data Synthesis:} We introduce verification mechanisms to graph-based and agent-based QA synthesis to control question difficulty while ensuring answers are unique and correct; \textbf{(2)~Trajectory Construction:} We design a verification-driven trajectory synthesis method that injects explicit verification patterns into training trajectories; and \textbf{(3)~Test-time scaling:} We use Marco DeepResearch itself as a verifier at inference time and effectively improve performance on challenging questions. Extensive experimental results demonstrate that our proposed Marco DeepResearch agent significantly outperforms 8B-scale deep research agents on most challenging benchmarks, such as BrowseComp and BrowseComp-ZH. Crucially, under a maximum budget of 600 tool calls, Marco DeepResearch even surpasses or approaches several 30B-scale agents, like Tongyi DeepResearch-30B.
Building Autonomous GUI Navigation via Agentic-Q Estimation and Step-Wise Policy Optimization
Recent advances in Multimodal Large Language Models (MLLMs) have substantially driven the progress of autonomous agents for Graphical User Interface (GUI). Nevertheless, in real-world applications, GUI agents are often faced with non-stationary environments, leading to high computational costs for data curation and policy optimization. In this report, we introduce a novel MLLM-centered framework for GUI agents, which consists of two components: agentic-Q estimation and step-wise policy optimization. The former one aims to optimize a Q-model that can generate step-wise values to evaluate the contribution of a given action to task completion. The latter one takes step-wise samples from the state-action trajectory as inputs, and optimizes the policy via reinforcement learning with our agentic-Q model. It should be noticed that (i) all state-action trajectories are produced by the policy itself, so that the data collection costs are manageable; (ii) the policy update is decoupled from the environment, ensuring stable and efficient optimization. Empirical evaluations show that our framework endows Ovis2.5-9B with powerful GUI interaction capabilities, achieving remarkable performances on GUI navigation and grounding benchmarks and even surpassing contenders with larger scales.
Marco-Voice Technical Report
This paper presents a multifunctional speech synthesis system that integrates voice cloning and emotion control speech synthesis within a unified framework. The goal of this work is to address longstanding challenges in achieving highly expressive, controllable, and natural speech generation that faithfully preserves speaker identity across diverse linguistic and emotional contexts. Our approach introduces an effective speaker-emotion disentanglement mechanism with in-batch contrastive learning, enabling independent manipulation of speaker identity and eemotional style, as well as rotational emotional embedding integration method for smooth emotion control. To support comprehensive training and evaluation, we construct CSEMOTIONS, a high-quality emotional speech dataset containing 10 hours of Mandarin speech from six professional speakers across seven emotional categories. Extensive experiments demonstrate that our system, Marco-Voice, achieves substantial improvements in both objective and subjective metrics. Comprehensive evaluations and analysis were conducted, results show that MarcoVoice delivers competitive performance in terms of speech clarity and emotional richness, representing a substantial advance in the field of expressive neural speech synthesis. Our code and dataset are publicly available at https://github.com/AIDC-AI/Marco-Voice and https://huggingface.co/datasets/AIDC-AI/CSEMOTIONS respectively.
